olympus driver for xp

  Time Traveller 16:17 22 Oct 2005

my olympus c-960 zoom camera 1.3 megapixels seems only to operate on windows 98. I have just gone on to xp and I cannot find a driver to allow it to download my pictures.
Can anyone help, please!

You can download the utility here

However it is a lot easier and quicker to transfer your photos using a card reader.

This one will do the job and is cheap as chips

Camera software/driver not needed
Yes a card reader if you like , but connect the camera to the computer via the supplied usb line and XP will show another drive in in 'MyComputer' - just like that.

no card onboard memory

you need the Camedia 2.5 software and XP patch from my link above.

I see that there is an XP driver on the Olympus site for your camera.

The camera uses a smartmedia card and connects to the PC via a serial connection.

The software from my link will work(i have a C960) but it is much quicker to use a card reader which has the added benefit of not draining your batteries.

Looks like I'll be going down the card reader route.
Many thanks to you all
