older pc has agp 4mb graphic card on it 256 ram,sister wants to play things like scrabble on it and the sims i put scrabble on it but it crashes is 4mb not enough? xp home said get new card but they are all 8 x or above in shops

Try to run the free Belarc Advisor click here or Everest click here on the PC & let us know the motherboard make & model. We can then advise on which cards will be compatible, plus even provide you with purchase links.

eBay is a good place to look - you're likely to find several older models at bargain prices. Someone here had a problem with his graphics card a few weeks ago. He searched eBay & got quite a good one (though low spec compared to today's standards) for £6 delivered. G

No such thing as a 4Mb AGP card. May be a old PCI. As back in 95 I had a Ati 1Mb PCI card

I think you could get a 16 or 32Mb card which should do the job well. 32Mb recommended just in case. G
