Old scanner driver

  geedad 16:23 04 Feb 2010

I have an old OpticPro flatbed scanner and need the driver for it. Will it auto set up when installed?

What operating system?

"Will it auto set up when installed?" - you'll know either way when you connect it.

OS will be handy as bremner says. G

I used to use it on an old Windows 98, but I am giving it to someone else who has a Windows Home
XP2 Pc.
I just thought the same as you ,that MS may have the software available to download.
But we will see. I will let you know if it works!
It is a serial connection. as opposed to USB.
May not work, in which case it will contribute to the world's rubbish!
Thanks to all,

Many OpticPro drivers listed for download at click here.

If no go, you could also consider giving it away free on FreeCycle click here / click here. Someone could eventually get it to work. G

Thank you all!
I've just trawled the old 98 and found software relating to OpticPro 9630P!
I have copied it to a floppy ( we used these once upon a time!), and I hope that the recipient can use this to install the scanner.
Why didn't I think of that before!
Thank you all again for your rapid responses and help.
