Old laptop - Triumph Adler walkstation 5xc

  howard64 11:06 22 Oct 2008

I have just found my daughters old laptop which has been lying around for some time. It is a "Triumph Adler walkstation 4/25 5xc color" the cmos battery has died and the details of the hard drive need to be entered manually. This laptop used win95 and I wonder if it might be worth getting it going and giving it to someone to learn on etc. Does anyone know where I can look at a manual for it to find the battery etc. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Local museum may have it.
But apart from that if you really want to sell/get rid of it advertise it in Micromart or Ebay!

I just thought I would get it going before giving it away.

I found that it is an old 486 processor and does not have usb or cd built in. I shall be throwing it away.

I'm a compulsive hoarder...The lappy really isn't up to much by today's standards, but I would replace the battery and keep it.

It took me back a good few years hearing the name again! How much does the lump weigh?

I will have a look at it tomorrow and let you know the details.
