I was looking to buy some software via the web and came across what looks like a good deal.
windows XP pro OEM for £102. Can anybody tell me what the difference between the FULL version and an OEM version is. Surely an OS is an OS!!!!!

Nick - Do a search of this site - this subject has been discussed many times.

Basically the software is the same - the packaging/Manual may be cut down, and the OEM version is for sale only with certain hardware items. Basically the OEM version is produced for system builders.

Strictly speaking you can only purchase OEM software with a PC - or with some vendors - a new hard disk. Not on it's own.
