N/W connection lost when PC resumes from sleep

I have a home network connecting a Win XP and a Win 98 PC. When the XP PC is taken out of sleep mode the network connection is not restored and it is necessary to reboot the XP machine to restore connectivity. (This does not happen when the 98 PC is taken out of sleep mode – the network is restored immediately.) Is there anyway to get the network connection restored automatically when the XP machine resumes from standby/sleep?

Thanx

This sleep thing, while great in theory, has never worked very well for most people (Stands back waiting for deluge of users who disagree), for eg. mine does not work in 98 whereas yours does. The simplest way around this, is not to use the option on your xp pc (you could still send the monitor to sleep).

I agree with vinnyT
