nvidia pci card not booting

have upgraded from a 32mb to a 64mb graphic card.
pc does not boot with this card inserted. still boots ok with old card. have noticed there are three sets of connectors on new card against two on the old one????? both card are nvidia pci cards. is there a dif in pci card connections? do i need to upgrade my bios? if so how. do not have net on my pc... so can't download direct to mine... using my grand daughters pc to use net.

I have bought two seperate cards, both have done this, the chances of both cards being faulty are small.

reply to eddie937- psu is 250. further info. vendor helpline unable to solve prob.????? said: could be a bad batch of cards or poss. need bios upgrade.... am awaiting response from Nvidia tech help.... still hoping for solution.

i had the same problem and i had a 300watt psu, i changed it for a 350watt and it works.
