The driver is 8.5MB and TBH unless you have a GeForce FX card i wouldnt bother.

I just ran the default 3D Mark 2001 SE benchie using 45.24 against and the 43.45 with identical settings for both drivers and the new driver was a shade over 1000 points worse Using a Geforce 4 Ti-4200 clocked at 310/625.

The nature test in particular takes a massive hit dropping by around 25FPS.

Unreal Tournament 2003 also lost out, it losing around 10 to 25 FPS.

funny you should say that you lost 1000 points,so did I (approx) and I HAVE an FX type card.(also oc'ed but not as high as it could go,its only 300/600)

  The Sack 11:06 14 Aug 2003

Strange that isnt it? Is the FX card you have a 5200? Reason i ask is that it uses the same memory system as the GF4 Ti cards, maybe thats why?

  simonp1 11:10 14 Aug 2003

how do i run a benck mark to check my speed?

Thanks in advance.

  The Sack 12:06 14 Aug 2003

You need 3D Mark 2001 SE for DirectX 8 tests and 3D mark 2003 for DirectX 9 tests.

If i remember rightly they are about 30MB and 130MB respectivley. Both are free unless you want the pro licence but i wouldnt bother with that.
