i`m using gforce fx5200 agp 8 card. working fine. until.been playing Asheron`s call 2. pci card, same specs gave up the ghost. so got the agp version. now sometimes it crashes and get the error, nv4_disp.dll-address bfaa. at which point it resets and can`t read the whole error. This can take minutes or hours before it happens. using the latest drivers and have now underclocked the card. still happens. any ideas?

update your nvidia drivers and if you have a VIA chipset on your motherboard, update that too.

its a well known problem

AAaaahhhh..i remember now sorry.

did you try the card in another computer or try another card in yours to see if the colours were ok?

start/control panel/performance and maintenance/system/advanced/performance/start up and recovery/settings/

untick the "automaticaly restart" box.

now at least it will give you time to write down the full error.

  ahales42 02:38 19 Nov 2003

  hugh-265156 02:38 19 Nov 2003

ok,asheron`s call 2

have a a look at click here
applies to version 2 and although yours is reseting some of it may help none the less.

ps.you said above you had"now underclocked the card"

were you overclocking?

that would explain the colours messing up.

maybe the gpu is borked
