Not there something similar ?

Hello All,

Last year (xmas) I decided to buy the Incredimail package, soon after I started having trouble trying to download new content, VIP support was 4 weeks in coming and was of no use at all, when I told them for the third time that I was having the same old trouble they decided not to even bother tring to help, just tried again in August to get them to help, do not want to know, so that is the end of that in my book.

Is there anything on the market that does a similar job but works fine ? emails to me should be expressive but I find Outlook pretty bland, anyone got any ideas ?
And as regards paying 35 quid for VIP help if that is the best they can do they deserve to go bust...

I think that increimail found a niche market and there is nothing really similar to it.

I would suggest ThunderBird from but realise that it is not going to allow you the same expression... save a little html formatting perhaps.

Hi, I have been using Incredimail now for two years, have had to use their vip support on two occasions (I use the Premium version which a couple of times reverted itself to the normal version) and found them very helpful. If it ever reverts itself again at least I know how to correct it with a very simple procedure. Sorry to hear of your problems but I would stick with it. I don't think anything else comes close.

btw, what was your problem with it, in more detail, perhaps I, or someone else here could provide an answer??

Simply this, you know when you do a email and you have the choice of animated-sports-or whatever you want to use, well mine is always the same background, I can change it to another one but it always reverts back to the same that in itself is not a big problem of course, what narks me is that when I go to get new content and click to download I always get the message :
'download corrupted, please empty your temp internet cache and try again' and no amount of trying to fix it has worked for me so consequently I cannot get new content even the free stuff ! complete re-install does not fix, hence the need for VIP support which to be honest is S"/,= if you can help thanks for that, I like incredimail always have but now feel cheated after paying something like 35 quid, makes you wonder sometimes if paying is the best policy,

Rather than rely on fancy software to say it for you, try just saying it for yourself. You are clearly well able to express yourself. you get your point across here, in plain text only, no fancy icons, with no problem at all.

Whats the problem with doing it in an email, just like you did it here?

  Technotiger 05:15 24 Nov 2004

Hi, in Incredimail go to Tools>Options>Compose in Default Letter Style make your choice, from there you should have no further problem hopefully.

  Giantsquid 23:58 24 Nov 2004

Fancy software is what I paid for, MY choice. Expression of sentiment has nothing to do with it. I am quite capable of writing a fancy letter to make my point, and indeed I often do, but if a product appeals to me and Incredimail does, that is my concern not yours.
If you buy a Ford Escort and it goes wrong you would expect the supplier to help out, yes ?
If I buy a Porsch and it goes wrong I would also expect the supplier to sort it, yes ?
It's not the email package it is the service that counts and I am having problems with this service and they cannot or are unable to help me and that is grounds for concern.
Your comments did not help in the slightest.

Thanks for the help but it's to no avail, done that before and it will not work.

More to the point if you try removing the complete package and all the little bits and bats and re-installing it seems just to install the exact programme !

Another thing, seems like they are all into the Gold theme, (extra money) so I have given up really, I think a complete re-install of XP may be the only answer and at the moment I don't need to do that, thanks again,

Jeez, the man was paying you a compliment, what's with the aggression?

  Giantsquid 00:22 25 Nov 2004

Compliment accepted, no aggression, but he missed the point, I like to liven emails up, and make people smile and have a good laugh, and do not mind paying for it.....Indredimail have let me down what would you do ?
