norton woes

i recently brought norton systemworks 2004, i installed it on my pc which was windows 98 no problems. Last week i upgraded to win xp pro, i did a clean install and now i am unable to install norton, it gets so far in and says unable to complete installation. I looked on nortons website and it said to make sure task sheduler was running i did this to no avail. Any got any idear`s

You may have to reinstall

make sure any running programmes are closed down first

I am confused. If you installed NSW2004 when you had win 98, why are you now installing it again after upgrading to WinXP pro? I do think your problem however will be cured on installing SP1 or SP2 for XP....TT

If the version of WinXP pro is from a disk that was released in 2001, then you will definately need SP1, but SP2 will serve you better.
