Thanks for the url

1. Right-click the Recycle Bin icon, and choose Properties.
2. Select the Global tab.
3. Select the "Use One Settings for All Drives" radio button
4. Select the Recycle Bin tab

Hmm - I just checked, and I have the Recycle Bin tab (XP and Norton 2003). It seems that you have remnants of Norton that did not fully uninstall.

There are a variety of methods available. The safest, and probably most effective, is to reinstall Norton, then try to follow the prompts in the first link again, then (carefully) uninstall Norton.

The next thing I would try is to look on the Norton website for instructions to manually uninstall whichever flavour and version of Norton Utilities that you have.

TweakUI has options for repairing the Recycle Bin (from memory)

Finally, this fix - click here - claims to repair / reinstall the Windows recycle bin. I have no idea whether it works or not, but I found it via a link at Kelly's Korner, which is a very reliable site.

There is also an MS patch at click here - I am not sure whether it applies to your situation, though
