Dell XPS 13 9370 (2018) review
I've recently bought the anti-virus and firewall security package from McAfee. One of the reasons I went to McAfee was that it was impossible to get a response to a problem, either by phone or via email, from Norton who was my previous choice.
They, both, have great virus alert sites for all users. That benefits all, but is no good if you have a specific question. I pay for the software so expect a certain level of personal service in return. This is not available from either provider.
I've now been on the McAfee site many times and, like Norton, its obvious, that even though you are a subscriber, there is no way to send an email to ask for help with a specific problem.
I DO HAVE A PROBLEM - mails are being returned from my ntl account (I POP to Outlook Express) which are undeliverable. I'VE SENT NONE OF THOSE MESSAGES. (6 messages fo far)
Here is an example of the Undeliverable message:

What do I do! I've invested in the latest anti-virus and firewall software (via McAfee). I keep it updated. I'm now told, by McAfee, (via their web site), that I need an IE protection package. Surely IE, if accessed via the .net, should be protected by the firewall software that I have purchased?
Can anyone tell me what is happening in my email account?
I have, already, erased my address book so that others will not be sent unsolicited emails.
Yes, I've made sure that my virus package is up to date. (changed to McAfee in June and have installed all the updates)
After rechecking the updates, I ran a full scan overnight and no virus found.
Thanks for your input, spikeychris, I agree that it really does look like a virus. Will keep trying to get through on the McAfee helpline.
If the worst comes to the worst, I'll reformat my hard drive and start again.
Try an online scan.
Looks like you have received the mail because your address appears
in someone else's address book. Might be an idea to have a ring around, because it really looks like the Klez.
i got through to Norton via 192 or 118118 now and they sorted me out over the phone, they are under Symantec in Maidenhead Berks. 01628 code. I had a mate who used to work there.
Gaz 25 - don't understand the relevance of 1st link - Yahoo chat. Tried a search for online scan which gave me Rock Hunting Places info!
