Norton Av v Widows Firewall

  Cryo 21:06 19 Feb 2006

I have recently installed Norton AV 2005 with the "worm" protection enabled.Windows secrity centre warned me I had 2 firewalls running. To overcome this I have turned off the "worm" protection. My query is, would the Windows Firewall be adequate protection as it is, or would I do better to load Nortons firewall? Alternativly, I could disable Widows firewall & just rely on the Norton with the "worm" protection enabled. I would appreciate any ones thoughts on this thank you.

Turn off Windows Folder it's a dud

If you really have to use Norton then use it's full features and turn the windows one off.

Although I'd remove (I did actually) Norton and use AVG free and Zone Alarm, both freebies.

Got to agree with SG.Atlantis
I think you will find most on here are pretty much against Norton due to the hungry resources it uses.

Or Avast! (which updates itself and informs you both verbally and in writing) and ZoneAlarm.
