Norton Anti virus

  Nelio 23:38 01 Dec 2004

I have a incorporated anti virus which I am trying to remove so I can install an up to date Norton however I can not remove the old one as there is no uninstall facility and the new Norton will not install because of the old one. Can someone advise?

Do you mean Corporate version/edition? Then try this - click here.

Otherwise try this - click here (do NOT use this solution to uninstall a Corporate version of NAV). G

are you ok with with going into the registry???

If so click start / run and type regedit

click on the edit menu and select find. Type Norton and delete everything you find. F3 to find next

Also on edit find symantec and do the same.

After that you will be able to install Norton again

Once the uninstall/cleanup is successful, it is recommended to follow this advice when installing the new NAV to lessen install-related problems:

For NAV 2003/2004 - click here?

For NAV 2005 - click here. Good luck, G

Have you tried add/remove programs in the control panel.

Was the original program loaded as a part of another Nortons product as removal of this program should remove anti virus.

Have you tried the original software disk as this may provide uninstall options
