What's stopping you from instaiing it?

Do you have a previous version of NAV?

What operating system?

You can delete the temp files in:

Start, Run, Type: %temp%

Click OK.

Delete all files and folders.

Are you running Anti Virus software whilst installing NAV, if you are disbale that Anti Virus.

What is the exact error message that NAV shows?

Go into add and remove programs, locate all versions of norton and remove them. You should then be able to install the new version without any further probs.

then an error message comes up and says

As janze says but then locate and delete all norton folders, you may have a additional problem if you re using any other Norton products such as firewall or cleansweep. A comprehensive cleanup procedure is on the esymantec site

Didn't have prob with NIS 05, but had a nightmare with Norton Internet Security 04, so sounds like you may be having similar problem. I had to do a 'clean uninstall' of NIS04 and then start again. Had to phone them for tech support, and it cost £20!, but think the link below was what I ended up being told to do!! Involves downloading a small file from the symantec site. Good luck!

If you are certain that you want to uninstall (first) and add/remove does not work you may wish to have a look at this page click here
