I've bought a Compaq PC from PC World and just realised that there is no Windows XP disc with it.Is this right and if so should I create a rescue disc of some sort? I seem to have used my old XP disc on my old PC on numerous ocassions and have nothing if this one goes wrong.
Did it come with a revovery CD? click here#
there was nothing in the box other than PC, mouse, keyboard and instructions.
you make a recovery cd using compaq cd recovery maker, found in your programs under PC Help and tools.Which one did ya get?
Have you booted it up? You should be given an option to create a system disk when you run the PC. It's a bit of a pain, but if you have a DVD writer, it will work ok.
DS I bought the SR1629UK from PCworld and had to use the above to make my recovery disk. You are only allowed once.
Get Acronis True Image. Make Images Of Partitions, Then You are safe. You should make more than one.
been trying to get my router to work without success.I was given the option of making a recovery disk but skipped it.Will have to work out out to do it now!
Should be an option on the Start menu.
i got the Pressario SR1639UK if that means anything!
is on the desktop thanks
