no toolbars in Outlook Express

Friend has just reported that she has no toolbars in her OE. That is, she can open a new blank email but there is no Send button; nor is there file, Edit, View, Tools, etc.

From memory I think this is just a matter of dragging something somewhere, but what? and where?

She's using Win XP and has just installed a new Epson printer /scanner. cOuld this have caused the OE problem?

View|Toolbars, tick Standard and Formatting.

thamks VoG™. She now has toolbars back so she can reply to mail when it has been opened, but still none visible at the top of the Inbox - ie no sign of Create mail (or whatever XP calls it); reply, reply all; forward, etc.

Try view, layout, tick toolbar then customize and either reset or add whatever buttons which are required

thanks, Hamish. We've solved it : it was a dragging matter - get hold of the arrow at the end of the missing toolbar and drag. She tried your suggestion but reported that all the buttons required were shown as being there. Thank you and thank you VoG™.
