Try the follwing:
1) Open Control Panel (START - SETTINGS - CONTROL PANEL)
2) Double click Add/Remove Programs
3) Double click Microsoft Internet Explorer... (This will NOT uninstall IE)
4) In the pop-up window select Repair Internet Explorer
5) Click OK
6) Restart the computer when prompted
