not been able to get any sound from my speakers for a week now, but they were fine berfore that. its on my desktop computer which is using labtec multimedia speakers pulse 485. they are turned on and volume up and plugged into correct port. went to device manager and there is a yellw exclamation mark by them. it says error code 10.when i press trouble shooter nothing happens, so i uninstalled them and did a new hardware search and it founf them but at the end of the installation the message came up saying there was a problem and they might not work. the message was right. any help to where to go now with this problem? cheers

Sounds like missing sound drivers. What make is your soundcard? If inboard sound, what chipset?
If unsure download this tool to find out.

hi there, i think this may be the sound card C-Media AC97 Audio Device. in properties it says fault code 10, if that means anything

Download the driver from here,
save to somewhere like 'My Documents' and then install. Your audio should then return.
