You've given very little information, wildjon, so start from the beginning by making sure that you have the speaker's connection inserted in the correct socket on the back of your PC's tower, it'll usually be the top green-coloured hole. Make sure the speakers are plugged into the wall socket. Make sure the volume control isn't muted or turned down. Go to Device Manager, see are there any conflict signs next to the sound card entry.

Operating System, please?

And the make and model of your soundcard, wildjon.

from the previous sound card.

If you last sound was onboard make sure that it is disabled in the BIOS.

Then uninstall all the software that cane with both soundcards, and remove both from device manager, reboot and start the sound installation for your new card.

As above, Operating System, Sound Card(s) make/model will help us to help you.
