Can you explain in a bit more detail? What error do you get where? Are you on broadband, or dial up? Are you behind a router?....

Softstag - thanks - laptop - winxp - wired tiscali broadband direct connection - msn messenger 7.5 - on trying to connect to msn , the message comes up "connot connect - default gateway is offline " - kind regards - jarani

Sounds like you are not actually connected to the internet. Check to see if you can browse when you are getting this error. If you are connected and can browse, then open Messenger, go to Tools - Options - Connection and Start the Connection TroubleShooter. This should help you connect.

Uninstall then reinstall MSN.
It should configure itself to work with everything then.
