I have a PC that will not allow access to the BIOS. Upon boot up I have an Intel boot agent PXE error code. It has a continuous DHCP ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,/ If I hit escape it will boot to windows. How can I resolve this issue?
Make and model of PC would help us be more specific. In the mean time try F2, Tab, Del, F10 - tap the key repeatedly as you boot the PC.
the computer is an HP Compaq 6200 Pro-Micro, Obviously!! I have tried all of the normal keys that will allow access to the BIOS but to no avail. This leads me to this post.
F1 or F10 according to this click here If PC boots to windows, can you use the HP Diagnostic software?
Do you have an old PS/2 keyboard to try?
I started out with a PS/2 key board and switched to a USB no difference. Still unable to access the system bios.
You could try removing the CMOS battery and resetting BIOS, replace battery and reboot. This should force the BIOS setup to open to correct the date and time.
