No beep on startup

I have a PC which does very little on startup. The motherboard is an MS 6382 Ver 1. The CPU fan spins OK but that's about all. I've tried changing power supplies and hard disk but I don't even get one beep as should be normal. I've taken out all expansion cards but still no beep. Even when I take the memory sticks out I get no beeps to signify there is no memory in there.

Any ideas please?
Is the CPU blown or is it the whole motherboard?

make sure the speaker inside the case is conected,if so is it conected to the header correctly,eg the plus and minus on the right pins.

the speaker connection inside is fine - it had never been opened before and then it stopped beeping at all.

is your pc actualy booting up ??

I wouldn't call it booting up - just the CPU fan spins, and nothing shows up on the monitor which stays on standby. I've even tried changing the graphics card to a known working one.

I've tried clearing the CMOS as well as changing the internal battery.
