after years of being on 98 and 2000, i have upgraded to XP, with a new pc. I cant seem to find microsoft word, excell, powerpoint etc. is this right or are they hiding somewhere? Do i need to install them myself from the restore disc?

You need to install them from the Office install disc.XP is the OS,doesn't include office applications.

i take it you do not have the full xp,word, excell, and powerpoint discs and were they supposed to be included in the package pre installed?

Was your new computer supposed to have MS Office (Excel etc) installed?

If not as leo49 says you will need to install Office using the CD which you presumably had with your old computer.

A restore disk will simply reset your PC to the state it was in when it left the factory.

  VoG II 23:42 25 Dec 2003
