just built my new pc today which is

AMD (Venice) Athlon 64Bit 3200+ Socket 939pin 512k L2cache
Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe S939 NF4 SLI
XFX Geforce 6600GT PCI-E 128mb DDR3 TV+Dual DVI
Maxtor 6L080M0 Plus 10 80GB 7200RPM SATA/150 8MB Cache
Corsair (VS512MB400) 512MB, DDR400 / PC3200, non-ECC, 184 DIMM, unbuffered, CL2.5, 32Mx8 DRAMs

put it all together and when i switched it on everything powers up lights come on fans spin. the monitor light goes green but then goes amber and stays like that and nothing comes on screen. so i checked the cables and checked if the grafics card was in and tryed a different monitor but still no luck.
im new with nvidia and pci-E grafics cards, im also tired and very hungry so i cant think of anything else to do unless i have missed somethig i was supposed to take off or put on.

any ideas.

Tap del key during start to get into BIOS or esc key or F2 key

See if monitor stays on while pressing keys

Remove all power plugs from drives all excess Pci card and sound, just leave Graphics and one stick memory in, the see if you get anything on screen

  woodchip 19:13 30 Dec 2005

Do you get any beeps? If not take the Mobo out of the case and put it together on some card then try it. Just the things above for to get into BIOS

Just another thing to check Make sure that clear CMOS jumper is in run position, it should be near to mobo battery jp1 on pin 1 and 2

  Master T 19:30 30 Dec 2005

it is still the same as befor and the clear cmos jumper is in the run position
