Why buy an obsolete mobo?

You could use a click here as long as your cpu is not a 400Mhz one.

Most other specs are simmilar.

You would need to post all your specifications, to check.

A friend of mine has a faulty PC that willl not boot 9 times out 10 I think it is the MOBO. What he does not want to do is format his hard drive because of important work data which he can ill afford to lose, yes I know he should have backup but off course he did not. His current MOBO use's a 845GV chip set so to allow his new MOBO to talk to his hard drive I need the same chip set. I appreciate its old technology but does any one have any other ideas.

just take the hard drive out of his machine, put it in yours and transfer the data.
