New folder in OE

  gudda96 09:34 04 Nov 2003

Hi Guys

I am going to create a folder so my daughter can receive e-mails on my pc.

I use w98se/outlook express and from memory, I do OE/Tools/Message rules/new
if not, please correct me.

If/when I sort the above folder, can I fix it so she has her own password so ONLY she can open that mail??

as far as i am aware windows 98 is no good for seperate accounts.

with win XP however you can set up your own accounts and e-mail folders with passwords, only the administrator would have access to the folder besides the person authorised.

there may be third party software progs to allow password protection in win98 but i dont know of any (but then again i dont know much lol)

do a search on google and see what results you get.

good luck

Yes you can do this by creating a new identity in OE. Just click on the tab and follow the steps.

If you enter "folder" into OE's Help files (that's what they are for, to Help) you will find all the information you need regarding opening new account folders and redirection of received messages.
