New DVD installed picture & sound not correct

I have installed a new DVD player, but the speach is not in time with the picture (out of sinc) & the film does not flow smoothly it "stutters/jerks", I have tried several DVDs but all the same result, any help please & thanking you, Bill & Ben

Are the DVDs you have tried pre-recorded or something you have burnt yourself?

What sepcification is your PC?

What anti virus do you have?

My computer is Windows XP home edition and I have Norton anti-virus installed, thanks for your help Bill&Ben


Norton might be causing this by slowing the feed of information.

Please keep all responses on here.

Try turning off the real time scanning it may help,you still didnt say if they are shop brought dvd's or ones you have made,if they are home made it could be somthing else at fault.

What DVD software are you using to play the DVDs?
