Networking XP with Windows7

  Scrivers 10:47 29 Mar 2010

I have one computer with Windows 7 Ultimaate and one with Windows XP Home. Both are connected by cable to a router/modem so both can get the Internet. I'd like to get the computers talking to one another. Is this possible and anyone know how.

the most important thing is to ensure that all pcs are on the same workgroup. I find it useful to put a file [anything] in the shared folders. Also make sure sharing is enabled on each pc. If you use a firewall such as zone alarm make sure that the IP range of your router is added as trusted.
