Networking XP Pro with 95/98

Hello all,

I was wondering if anyone could offer me a viewpoint on how difficult it is to network a PC running XP Pro with one running either Windows 95/98?

If you run the network wizard from the XP machine first then go to the 95/98 machine and run it it should be easy. You will need a network card in both machines and a crossover cable.

A thing to note here The Ghost of Inept Pig, when running the network wizard, insert the floppy disc in before starting as XP sometimes will not prompt you to create the floppy without it in.

Make sure the file system on XP is FAT otherwise the 95/98 will not be able to read an NTFS file system.

Thanks to you both for the pointers, if it all goes horribly wrong I'll be sure to let you know...
