networking problems

please guys can help

i do have time computer PC:

-msi ms 6166 zx motherboard
-p3 600 mhz
-win xp pro spk 1
-dlink 10/100 mb network card or a railtek 10 mb card
( I am using the dlink at present)
- 2 hard 20 and 80 gb with enough free space)
-crossed rg 45 cable
the pb is i cant ping any client(modchip xbox)
her is my caed settings:
my PC
ip 192.168.0.5
sub mask: 255.255.255.0

my modchip xbox

card is set to static ip

ip:192.168.0.11
(with the same xbox setting I've been able to connect using my friend PC)

XP does detect my card , i can ping my pc card successfuly but impossible to ping any client

can anyone help? please

Make sure the work group name is like MS Home and PC name is diff. Each PC must has the same work group name but diff computer name also do you have any firewalls enabled? If yes disable it.

I am trying to connect with my modchip xbox, or even with another PC, can't still ping my client, my firewall is not activeted on my card.
my xbox does detect the connection.
I'm using flashfxp or ftpexpert to connect to my xbox
