Networking problem-help please

I have a BT HomeHub, my new computer has Vista, my other computer has XP. with a wireless adapter.
I can get them to "connect" but on the second computer (XP) I cannot get into the home page. I get a message saying ,no connection to the internet. THe network connection say that the signal strength is excellent, but I cannot access the home page. The new computer with VIsta is fine as I am able to ask for your help.

Could it be the hub not sending the data to the adapter, if so do I need a new hub ?

Right click the little wireless icon in the taskbar.

Choose "Connect to a network"

Select your network from the list

Enter the key if you have created one (you should)

Should now connect.

Also check your firewall is not blocking the connection.

crosstrainer, I've done all the things needed, I have tweaked for hours but still no joy I'll keep trying. I can't phone BT as I am deaf. I will now look at th firewall (if I can find it)

Still no joy, if I need to replace my BTHub, can you recommend a better wireless hub ?

What software are you using for the wireless adaptor?
is it the adaptors own software or are you letting windows manage the connection (prefered)?
