Cable or ASDL?Network setupRouter?OS's and connection methodThen the good folk here will have something to work on.rowdy
cable (i think)router yea, er......don't mean to be funny but i'm not that up to scratch(begginer, lol).....os all are on win2000connection how do you mean? Okay.....i take the cable from the cable box and put it into the box which shares it into 4. Then obviously one cable to each machines ethernet card.
Could it be that your ISP has 'enforced' its policy to not allow sharing of its connection? Some dont allow it you know? Matbe check on their website for any updates?
Would this have happend over night?, or would it have needed to be switched off for the settings to take affect?
I think you need to find out just what you have and report back. You should find a lot of detail on the ' boxes '.Who is your ISP provider, your email address will give you a clue.Is your 'Cable box' a modem or set top box that came with cable TV.rowdy
