Network Internet Connection

I have networked 3 pcs together(via network cards and a hub), they can all share files/see each other etc. The main pc has XP home and is connected to the internet via a BT openworld modem; 1 of the other pcs (both run windows 98) can connect to the internet the other cannot??? I have been through all the various "properties" screens for the 2 "98" pcs ensuring everything set the same but to no avail. Has anybody any suggestions where I might start to look for the solution to this most frustrating problem? Thank you for any advice you may have.

I'm not an expert at these things (struggling to call myself an amateur actually), but maybe the two other machines have the same IP address on the network?
