Network Cable for ICS

  Technonot 18:55 02 Feb 2004

I intend to use ICS to connect my son's Xbox to Xbox Live, I currently have a USB modem connected to my PC for my ADSL connection. I am about to purchase a NIC to add to my PC but are confused as to which type of cable is required between the NIC and the Xbox, I have read that a straight cable or a crossover cable will be required, how do I tell which one I need ?.

logically it should be the same as directly connecting two PC'a so you'd need a croosover cable, but Xbox's are outside my Ken. I suggest that you try this question on an Xbox (or other gaming) Forum to make sure.
