Netgear Powerline 85Mbps Ethernet Switch Kit

  KNICK 11:05 05 Apr 2010

My son has problems with intermittent connections to our wireless router upstairs, as do i in my office downstairs. The router is in a separate but close building. He has suggested trying one of the above pieces of kit. Would that be a good solution?

Does the separate building have its own electricity supply or is it fed from the house?

Normally Powerline plugs need to be connected to the same ring main. Buildings with their own supply could even be on a different phase, in which case Powerline communication would be impossible.

I think they are - will double check and give it a go. thanks.
