need help on processor speed

I am looking to buy a new PC - main usage will be working on graphics and editing video - high end gaming not required
Do I need the latest CPU speeds of AMD 27/2800 combined with 512 MB Ram or is it better to have more RAM and a sloer CPU - what about graphics card ? Is a GForce TI 4800 necessary? Thanks for a few comments.

The fastest processor you can and 1Gig of ram then a big hard drive or preferablly two.... the graphics card is down to you, but a Ti 4200 at least....But then I just hate waiting for Photoshop etc to process the images.

maybe go for amd 2400xp as 27/2800 really expensive at the moment and use what ya saved on cpu for another 512mb ram (only if you are using winxp. other versions of windows dont like more than 512mb ram). ti4800 is only a ti4200 with agp 8x, so if the mobo dont have agp 8x its a waste. also as ya doing video editing would suggest at least 120gb hard drive
