Mysterious file

For the last two months, I keep getting a file on my desktop without a name. Properties show 203KB, created on the day and time after I have been on the internet. I deleted it and after a day or two , it reappears on my desktop.. I cant make out what it is or how it gets there. Any ideas please?

~ A file ~

Updated Windows recently, its a bug in an update. When you use the address book the file then appears.

You can delete it.

when you use the 'reply' function to an e-mail.

As Powerless, there is no known reason not to delete it.

I used the Outlook Express address book and then deleted it.....but I went on the internet and it came back up on the desktop. I tried Nortons Windows doctor as I have Norton's Systemworks 2000 Ver.3 but it did not rectify this.

As Powerless said - it's a known bug in a recent Windows update. No doubt they will fix it sometime - until then, just keep deleting the spurious file.

I had it too; deleted it. No problems since.
