My sound doesn't work anymore.

I accidentally dropped my laptop while the headphones were pluged it and it fel right on the headphone jack. And now i have an dented headphone jack and no sound.

Make and model?

the headphone socket contains a "switch " which cuts out the speakers, if this is jammed that's why you have no sound. Try plugging and unplugging the heaphones a few time to see if it will free it.

If the socket is damaged the problem ma be harder if connected direc to the motherboard. easier to replace if connected by a cable to the board.

Since i can't even reach the plug of the headphone socked since its pushed in. so i'll try the motherboard methode.
