I am thinking of putting together my own PC and have selected the following components from ebuyer.com:

Sansun SN-C843BK Gaming Case
Gigabyte GA-K8NSC-939
AMD (venice) Athlon 64 3000 +
Maxtor 6Y080L0 Plus 9 80GB
2x Corsair (VS512MB400) 512MB, DDR400 / PC3200
Sony 52x32x52x16 IDE Drive (combo)
Mitsumi OEM Black Internal Floppy Drive 1.44mb 3.5 Inch
Kensington Black PS2/USB Keyboard
Ebuyer Extra Value Red Glow USB Optical Mouse
Sapphire X700 256MB DDR2 PCI-E VGA TVO DVI-I - Lite
ACER AC713B 17" 0.27dpi 1280x1024 FST CRT Monitor

I am not a gamer so the system will only be used for media purposes. What is your opinion on this system, good or bad?

Thanks.

HD bit small for media, if you intend on saving down videos/high res pictures to it. With Windows XP installed and basic running probs, should prob chomp 20GB of that leaving you 60 for storage. HD are very cheap these days so I would get a 120 minimum. I use a 20 GB and 120GB for storage.

Yea, I am undecided between an 80GB and 120GB HDD. Is the motherboard and processor a good choice?

Motherboard and processor are OK. Maybe keep to your original HD but get a secound - much bigger - HD for your videos.
