I’ve just brought the Medion pc from Aldi and am just about to order broadband from pipex but how do I find out if its broadband ready or not?Thanking you in anticipationHiuok
HiNTL broadband requires either a USB connector which a new PC must have or a network (NIC) socket which is possible on a PC.A new PC's specification ie CPU, memory etc etc will be AOK.
If your PC has USB ports there shouldn't be a problem. you will have to buy a broadband modem which plugs in to the usb port. i am sure pipex will tell you whether it is feasible or not before connecting you. After all you are paying them!!!
The Medion PC's do have a Network card (NIC) So plug n' play for you mate.Bye.
I think (correct me if I'm wrong) that the Ethernet adapter in these PCs is onboard. Also, since you have 5 USB ports you shouldn't have too much trouble finding a free one if a USB modem is used!
