Does anyone know about the connections between the Desktop Pc Hard drive and the monitor on starting up because lately ive had a problem with my Monitor white screening on starting up.

My Pc is a Packard Bell, Intel pentium 4, 3.06ghz Desktop. About 2 yrs old.

When i start up the PC & i know the monitor power is ok because its switched on and its displaying the screen but im just getting a white screen for ages after starting up.

I then have to just switch off and on again the monitor power button for ages until it corrects itself & displays my desktop screen as normal.

Its sometimes only 3 times or so but it can be upto 70 or more & it cant be good for the Monitor. [:O]

Any help will be much appreciated. [;)] John. [:)].

Try the monitor on another pc.
Its not the harddrive at fault, its possibly a hardware issue within the monitor..normally associated with the power supply.

Looks the monitor is on its last legs....sorry.
