My friend...if it's not one thing it's another...

Some of you will remember yesterday I posted a thread on here about my friend not being able to access her computer. Well, I've fixed that for her, but she has a new problem now.

She got a strange e-mail and, being the inquisitve person she is, opened it (yes, she has got an antivirus program before you begin :P). She clicked on a link, and now she's stuck in a loop.

Everytime she tries to close one window another pops-up, and so on. However, She disconnected, and it stopped, but as soon as she reconnects, the same thing happens again!

I suggested to her installing ad-aware, but can anyone else think of why this is happening and how she can stop it?

Thanks :)

Yep, just another one of these nasty sites that do this to you. Ad-aware should stop it from happening. Ask her to download, then run the program and tick all the boxes that it finds, then delete them. Also a Pop-up stopper may stop this from happening again. j.

I got the google toolbar click here and you don't even need to have it in view to block pop-ups, and it's free and useful. TR
