hello again, after your advice i managed to find out that i have the Win32/Parite virus eating away at my computer :P

I was wondering if anyone knew how to get rid of this this completely? If not it's ok.

What i really wanted to ask was that i'm gunna buy some good anti virus software and i want to know what people think is the best out there. e.g Norton Anti Virus or McAfee virus scan. Or something totally different.

Download AVG from click here or Avast from click here

Both of these are free. When installed update the virus definitions and run a system scan.

Follow the removal instructions from click here.
com/avcenter/venc/data/w32.pinfi.html of which the following is only a summary.

Disable System Restore (Windows Me/XP).
Update the virus definitions.
Restart the computer in Safe mode (Windows 95/98/Me/2000/XP) of VGA mode (Windows NT).
Run a full system scan and repair all the files detected as W32.Pinfi.
Reverse the value that the virus added to the registry.Click Start, and then click Run. (The Run dialog box appears.)
Type regedit, and then click OK. (The Registry Editor opens.)
Navigate to the key:

In the right pane, delete the value: PINF
Exit the Registry Editor.

No problem, but you've started two posts on the same subject, it's best to stay with one and use the 'Add response' below.
