My first computer build but its dead

I have just built my first computer went to turn it on and nothing no fans no lights nothing so i went and checked motherboard manual and double checked connections and also checked psu and plug in another computer and they work fine so i know its not them but still nothing could the motherboard be dead? i have notice that there is no cmos jumper on the motherboard would that make any difference?

Hate to say it but as always if you don't know what your doing,it's better to get ready built.I sorry have no idea of the fault but by the time it's fixed bet it costs a lot more than you expected.Are the components all compatible is only one of the questions others might be able to help you with,good luck on your quest.

PSU is switched signal from motherboard possibly you have wired case switch incorrectly.

try a momentary short across the appropriate mother board pins (ones to the power switch)
