Seems like a PSU or Memory Problem to me

  Dean-521792 11:32 23 Aug 2006

yeah i thinnk so.

i've opened it's case and i checked if ther's any like wires that not plugged completlly, but i still get the same problem.

My advice is to try another PSU first or download
click here and make an ms-dos boot disk and use it to check your memory is ok if ok its the PSU that is causing the problem

Are you sure this is not an overheating problem?

If the CPU fan is not running freely, or (less likely since the weather has cooled,) is the fan and its heatsink stuffed with dust, or a ribbon cable moved so that it obstructs the airflow?

If all these things are OK then it has to be the PSU

Yep I would go with Overheating. First thing to check. You could see if it keeps running in Safe Mode

sometimes it tells me that i need to reboot my comp. does that mean anything

If you can, get yourself to pcworld (or other pc supply) and buy a can of air, and use this to thoughly clean dust away from your pc, esp inside the psu (but don't open the psu, just blow through the holes/grills).

Dust is an insulator and its buildup esp. in the psu can lead to overheating probs.

Hope this helps.

'sometimes it tells me that i need to reboot my comp. does that mean anything'

Depends on when it tells you this. If it is after a bsod, then it is likely that some prog/service tried to access memory that was already in use.

what about the computer rebooting
