Hi I need a crossover cable but how can I tell if the cables I have are crossover? I have cables I used for my Network. Will these be crossover cables?

network to router cables are patch npt crossover crossover only use when connecting PC to PC.

Look at the 2 ends of the cable if cable golours laid out left to right, the same then is patch.

If they have RJ45 connectors on each end, they're usually crossover cables. Some examples click here, & pics click here. G

Nice link could have done with that earlier this year when I was unsure I had correct cable whenmy first attempt at a network was driving me nuts.

Both my ends are the same. ORANGE BLUE GREEN BROWN.

Does this mean they are NOT Crossover?
