Music on a Web page

  Dirty Dick 11:39 22 Aug 2004

Sorry to put this post in two forums but not getting much of a response in the WEB DESIGN FORUM.
I'm very new to this Web Page lark and I am trying to put music on it running in the background,(as the page opens). I'm using FrontPage and the music file is in Windows Media Audio/Video file format. I've already put Video onto the page and this opens Window Media player with no ptoblems. Can anyone help this Newcomer to Web Pages and please, be gentle.

Its not too difficult, although I would warn you about the very large size of wma files, and the long download time, especially for people on dial-up. If you can, go for midi files; much smaller!.

In the code for your page, after the title and before the head, add the following line:

<bgsound src="test.wma" loop="-1">

where "test.wma" is your sound file; (change "test" to the name of your sound file). The sound will play continuously. I hope that I have understood your problem correctly.
