MSVCR71.DLL & KERNEL32.DLL corrupted

I contacted AOL yesterday regarding a problem I am having while watching film trailers,the problem I have is the picture keeps freezing,they told me to email my system info to them so they could check.They told me that my Windows system files such as MSVCR71.DLL AND KERNEL32.DLL have been corrupted,could someone tell me where I could get replacements for the files or suggestions on how to fix them.

Or (Windows XP)
Start, Run, type

sfc /scannow

and click OK. You may be asked for your Windows CD.

For earlier versions of Windows do the same but just type

sfc
